Carcin vs Wix

Wix is a website builder, and a very good one. Carcin is not a website builder. That single difference explains every row in every table below, including the ones where Wix comes out ahead.

Fair play first

Who Wix is genuinely good for

Wix has been refined for two decades and it shows. If any of these describe you, stop reading and go open a Wix account.

None of that is faint praise. This comparison exists not because Wix is bad software, but because most owners are not buying software. They are trying to buy customers, and a builder subscription is not that purchase.

What Wix costs in 2026

Wix publishes four premium plans plus a free tier. The headline numbers below are annual-billing rates. Choosing monthly billing costs more on every plan.

Wix's own published list rates as of 2026, from wix.com/plans. Plan names and prices change: check the vendor page before you buy. Premium plans carry a 14-day money-back guarantee that covers the initial payment, and include a free custom domain for the first year.
Plan Billed annually Billed monthly What it is built for
Free $0 $0 A wixsite.com address with Wix ads. No custom domain, no online store.
Light $17/mo $24/mo Your own domain, Wix branding removed. The common small-business starting point.
Core $29/mo $36/mo Adds online selling and more storage.
Business $39/mo $46/mo Advanced retail: shipping options, automated sales tax.
Business Elite $159/mo $172/mo The full feature set, aimed at larger online stores.

Two things worth noticing. The advertised price assumes you pay for a year up front. And every plan in that table buys the same thing: access to the editor. What gets built inside it, and what happens afterward, is not part of the purchase.

Side by side, row by row

The rows that matter are not features. They are questions about who does the work and what happens next month.

Wix column reflects what Wix's published plans include. Carcin column reflects what is included at the $19.99/mo floor, described on the pricing page.

The gap

What Carcin does that Wix does not

None of this is a knock on Wix. It is simply outside the category a website builder competes in.

01

The work, not the tool

Carcin writes the pages, picks the structure, and publishes them. No editor to learn, because nothing is waiting on you.

02

Everywhere customers look

Google Business Profile, map listings, industry directories, review requests. The places a customer checks before calling a contractor, none of which live inside a site editor.

03

A next move, every month

103 channels, scored on revenue impact, time to value, setup cost, maintenance burden, competitive necessity and compounding value. The highest scorer opens next.

This is the real comparison. A site sitting on Wix and a site built by Carcin can look equally good on day one. The difference shows up over the following year, in whether anything happened to it.

The other direction

What Wix does that Carcin does not

A comparison that only runs one way is a sales page. Here is the honest other half.

The decision

Who should pick which

Two clean answers, and the one question that separates them.

Pick Wix if

You enjoy building, you want total design control, you are selling products online, or you need a specific app-market integration. Also pick Wix if a fixed monthly number matters more to you than what happens for that money.

You want a tool

Pick Carcin if

You are a plumber, an electrician, a contractor, a stylist, or anyone whose good hours belong to the trade. You want to be found on Google, listed where customers look, and chosen over the competition, without becoming the person who does that work.

You want it handled

The bottom line. Wix Light lists at $17/mo billed annually. Carcin starts at $19.99/mo, usage-based. The prices barely differ, so price is not the decision.

The decision is one question: after the site is live, who does the next twelve months of work? With Wix, you. With Carcin, Carcin, and the site is only the first of 103 channels it works.

Stop building. Start being found.

Two minutes to start. Then it never stops.

FAQ

Wix questions, answered

01How much does Wix cost?

Wix publishes four premium plans. On annual billing they are listed at Light $17/mo, Core $29/mo, Business $39/mo and Business Elite $159/mo. Billed monthly the same plans list at $24, $36, $46 and $172.

There is also a free plan that runs Wix ads on a wixsite.com address. All figures are Wix's own published list rates as of 2026.

02Is Wix good for contractors and tradespeople?

Wix is good software for anyone willing to operate it. For a contractor, the editor is rarely the constraint.

The constraint is that a site does not claim your Google Business Profile, submit directory listings, or ask past customers for reviews. Wix does not do those things, and it does not claim to.

03Is Carcin a Wix alternative?

Only partly, and it is worth being precise. Wix is a website builder. Carcin is not: a website is one channel out of 103 that Carcin tracks, and it is the hub the rest point back to.

If all you want is a page you control yourself, Wix is the better purchase.

04Can I keep my Wix site and use Carcin?

Yes. Carcin can work the channels around a site that already exists. It will also tell you plainly if the existing site is the thing limiting the results, rather than quietly working around it.

05Does Wix do SEO?

Wix includes SEO tooling: editable titles and descriptions, sitemaps, redirects and a setup checklist. Tooling is not the same as the work.

Someone still has to research what your customers search for, write the pages, and keep at it month after month. With Wix, that person is you.

06Is Wix cheaper than Carcin?

At the floor they are close. Wix Light lists at $17/mo on annual billing and Carcin starts at $19.99/mo, usage-based.

The difference is not the number, it is what the number buys: software you operate, or work performed on your behalf. Full detail on the pricing page.
